Your data
We use data to make ‘Be In The Noa’ even more relevant to the young people we are aiming to build empowerment, empathy and authentic connection with. This includes;
- Recommending things you might like to advocate or be an active participant in such as new projects, opportunities and events to get yourself involved with
- General notification to our advocates and followers of the work our funders and partners are doing.
We will also use it for business and legal purposes, like;
- Dealing with your requests or correspondence
- Getting in touch if we need to tell you about any changes to our policy, terms & conditions or issues.
The type of data we collect
Most of the personal information we process is provided by you for one of the following reasons;
- You contacted us through the website
- You signed for one of our events or projects through our trusted third party
- You signed a consent form allowing us to film, photograph and interview you to create content on our social media channels.
We currently collect and process the following information;
- Your name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Pronouns
- Email contact information
- Telephone number (unless you prefer not to)
- Demography information [Postcode]
If you have been involved in a ‘Be In The Noa’ project or initiative, we may also hold other data about you that has been consented previously.
In the unlikely event of of a data breach, we will contact you directly and as soon as possible.
Your data protection rights
If contact details are provided, you will be notified when photos or videos are being taken at events or public spaces. We will ask for your written consent to use and share this on our various social platforms.
As we are seeking to create positive dialogue and understanding in all that we do, we have all our advocates best interests at heart. However, if we believe you might be breaking the law, or in danger, we can and will share your information without your permission to the relevant authorities. Such disclosure is allowed under the relevant laws, including data protection law.
When working with clients and partners on ‘Be In The Noa’ projects, we may share relevant data if this is deemed vital in improving the outcome or outputs of any project we are involved in. We will not share or sell your data to any third parties.
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
- Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
- Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
- Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
